Spellow Library, County Road, Liverpool, December 2024.
My local library, Spellow Library, was set on fire during the riots in August. It’s reopening tomorrow and this evening there was a opening eventwith a lantern parade led by two bears, an owl and a marching band walking through the streets. The parade ended with the bears being led into the library and being read a bedtime story.

A brick bearer collects a Brick of Mu. Pier Head, Liverpool, November 2024. I didn’t photograph all of Toxteth Day of the Dead last week. Some friends were taking part and I went along to meet them outside the Adelphi Hotel and walked with them through town to the Pier Head where they then boarded a ferry over to Birkenhead for the annual laying of the bricks on the People’s Pyramid.
